Mental Health Workshops
In Spring 2021 the IABS sponsored a series of free Mental Health & Well Being Workshop specifically for students feeling the effects and negative impact of working and studying from home.The workshops were designed and delivered by John Broderick, counselling psychologist, in association with People Dimensions International.
In a series of 2-hour workshops John Broderick, a psychologist with over two decades experience in third level student counselling, presented several strategies designed to manage emotional overload and protect mental health and well-being. The Workshop provided inputs and insights from psychological science on how to recognise stress, regulate emotional states and maintain energy and focus. Utilising personal reflection, group discussions, comments, questions and answers, the workshop provided participants with a set of skills and strategies to help them stay healthy and productive during these difficult and challenging times.
